Steve, it's always good to have a reference source to know how the car felt and what was expected of it at it's time. I found one for my 47 Clipper where they said it's get up and go was like being stung by a bee. I just can't picture that, but for 1947 who knows what the pick up speed was from 0 to 60.

Packard Newbie, I remember hauling hay for 5 cents a bale and when it went up to 10 cents a bale, we thought we were rich.
