My car had been apart and exposed to elements for almost 20 years so the dash pad, carpet and the piece surrounding the steering column was in really sad shape. I replaced everything. Ordered the dash pad from the place in Stockton.http://www.quietride.com It is made of modern plastic instead of cardboard but has a pattern similar to the original. Mine also had a piece of the asphalt tarpaper like material Packard was fond of between the carpet and jute which yours doesn't appear to have. I went by the illustration in the parts manual and saw that rubber piece thinking it was what I needed and had. Ordered it without checking the application but it turned out not necessary for the 2106.

If your engine side cardboard is what is split you could just order a piece of the Sintraboard and reuse your old jute from the looks of it. If there is a good art and hobby store locally they may even have the stuff. It is used in signs, making model buildings for architects and sometimes in mat material when framing photos etc.

Thanks Howard, as always your a big help! You have given me some great suggestions and I have a better ideal how to fix the missing parts. I also was looking at that rubber piece from Steele Rubber Products, but was told that goes on the inside and I didn't need it.
Thanks again!
Wes

Always nice to have another Custom Super Clipper to reference. My Black 47 still was the original inside firewall attached. So I took a few picture to keep as a record as to what material was used. It looks like just plain Corrugated Cardboard under the first layer and a thick Felt next to the metal.

Well as I start to put the steering column back together, I figure this would be a good time to make a new parts breakout with a little bit clearer pictures. Hopefully I got it right and also got the parts label correct. It looks like the only difference between the Custom Super Clipper and the others is the a lot more of chrome use.
I'm using the parts breakout and my three Packards to verify what goes where and hopefully I'm getting it right.
