1941 Packard Super Eight 180 Limousine By LeBaron

Anti Theft #552594

Chassis type 1908

Model Number 1420

Engine Specifications: 356 CID Inline 8 Cylinder 160BHP

3-Speed Manual Gearbox with optional overdrive

4-Wheel Hydraulic Drum Brakes

Independent Front Suspension with Coil Springs

Rear Axle with Semi-Elliptical Springs

Other features included power window, divider glass, and electromatic clutch.

One of few existing examples of Packard's LeBaron bodied seven-passenger touring limousine. The semi-custom was built on Packard's 148" wheelbase. Research suggests that this car is one of approximately 50 LeBaron Touring Limousines produced for the 1941 model year. It was one of most expensive models available in 41 at $5595. Highly optioned with power windows and division window that operated hydraulically, Electromatic clutch, and dual sidemounts. The LeBaron Limousine was most elegant. The design was so well executed that the sheer size of the limousine eludes your first glance.

This is a rare vehicle that is deserving of a restoration. For more information and pricing please call Fred Kanter at 973-953-0283

I just saw one of these yesterday, in of all places -Patchogue, NY. Absolutely perfect in gloss black and I was surprised how tall it was when I got up close to it. Impressive, indeed!
