Does anyone have an opinion as to the best place to purchase new valves? Both Egge and Kanter carry what I need, yet Egge's are about $8.00 per valve cheaper than Kanter. Not sure why. Quality? Any other recommended sources?

I got mine from Terrill Machine in TX. It was some time ago but I was pleased with the service and products.

Historically, Egge was THE source for valves for collector cars and their valves had an excellent reputation and to my knowledge still do. Whether the other folks who sell valves are just reselling Egge valves I don't know but I suspect some of them are, others perhaps not. In the end I've bought valves from both Egge and Kanter and never had any issues with either of them.

All valve seats have been lapped using the old valves. When I replace the worn valves with new, will I need to re-lap using the new valves?
