On the rear seat of the 42 packard Clipper there is a long type rope handle and it treads through a chrome eye. One of the eyes is damaged does any body have one or know where i can get one from. pics attached.

If you are referring to the long one goes across the entire back seat, that is usually referred to a "Robe Rail" and want meat to be a handle, but a place to drape a blanket (robe) for the back seat passengers. Heaters were optional!

Looking at the parts manuals, it appears that the same sleeve [372690] and nut [372638] were used from '41 through '50 so there shouldn't be a shortage of them out there. If no one here has a spare, you might try the usual vendors.

For what it's worth I believe the broken chromed part is called an end escutcheon. Group # 30.0275 part # 372256. There were two used per car on all Clipper sedans from 41-47. I expect it will probably need to come from a parts car but it might be worth an inquiry to Kanter to see if by some chance he has one.

The 2 doors used a different part number - #375116. Four per car for those as there was a pair on each seat back. No idea what differences there might be in looks or fit so can't say if they could be substituted.

The later cars used different still so you will probably need to stay with the Clipper version unless you find a pair and change them both.

Thanks to Howard's [HH56] photo it looks as if the part shown in your picture is three pieces and not the two pieces I thought it was. So ... apparently the broken part is unique to the Clipper while the other two parts are common to '41-50. As usual... go with the HH56 recommendation.
