Dave, you're welcome. Today a 1939 RHD Eight Touring Sedan, which is stranded in a French plush hotel. Many thanks to the dealer for submitting the relevant data.

Hmmmmmm......Sold by Ira Berk, Sydney's Packard Dealer. PACA's Home Page has a couple of pic's of this dealership.

Interesting pic of the left side of the engine showing the heater hose! There doesn't appear to be an under dash heater inside the car. Looks like maybe the hose loops down to an overflow reservoir in the engine compartment?

Dave, I've finally got it together to get you the numbers on my non-running dark blue '51 200 Deluxe. Plate Numbers are 2462-20953 with Paint Code "B" and Trim Code 63; Thief-proof numbers are A854288 and the engine number is J854217.

The numbers on the Plate are very clear with the paint and trim 80% sure. The Engine is 95% and Thief Proof number 70% with the only doubt being with the identity of the number "8". Sorry it took so long. I'll go from here and update the numbers on the car's registry page.

If these don't seem right, let me know and I'll take another look.

Thanks Jim for taking the time. One too many digits in the thief-proof number, could you take another look?

After sea journey from America to Australia and another one from Australia to Europe (and God knows where else) it's more a ship than a car.

Mal, this streamlined Horch equipped with constand cold & warm water suggests a possibility.

That Horch is the ugliest Audi I've ever seen!

The kitchen sink thing is really bizarre but I sure wouldn't consider the car ugly. I'd consider it about 13 years ahead of its time. It's different perceptions that make the world go 'round I guess.

Oops.... How about A85488? Much easier read when the sun is on the front of the car.

Thanks Jim for the correction - the number now seems to fit in. The motor # is also suspect, should begin with a "2" following the J, J2XXXXX. Can you check that again also?

I thought something was wrong with that last night. You're right of course, it's J234247. Make that J234217. I've got to get new glasses!
