Yes, they are small like beds in very old houses. Do you know what brougth that car to Australia? It seems to be an improved version. The ignition apparatus is encapsulated.

The next "toy car" is a De Dion Bouton created 1899. The radiator is already located at the right place.

Panhard & Levassor was a French motor vehicle manufacturer that began 1886 (1887 acc. to other sources) in Paris.

Today the brand is part of Renault but the brand name is still around in the market of military vehicles.

Below a pic of a horseless carriage, made in 1896. The snapshot was taken at the Mus?e des arts et m?tiers (Technical Museum).

But within two years the car development made a huge step forward. Pneumatic wheels superseded the wooden cart wheels and the first steering gear appeared on the market.
