I became a Packard owner a few months after I went to Hershey last year - as a result I wasn't on the look-out for parts while I was there.

Is there a solid representation of parts and Packard vendors there? My guess is "of course".

Attending Hershey in 2012 I purchased a Program on entry(Cost was $5 then). The Program was substantial(124 pages) and contains an alphabetical listing of all vendors. Towards its end is also a listing of Vendors by make of vehicle or their specialty, ie headlights, tools, etc, etc. The Packard section was over 3/4 of a page with over 100 Vendors listed. The list also shows the Vendor space numbers ie GDK 35-36, GBE 15-24, etc, etc. There are also maps of each field. ie Chocolate Field South, Red Field, etc, etc showing the space numbers. Markup the maps with the vendors you're interested in then you can eliminate many vendors which hold no interest in your search. A good way to navigate the fields is via the light poles. Not as silly as it sounds, because all the poles are clearly numbered and are also numbered on the various field maps. Just set your bearings on a pole and away you go!

Although you never know what treasures you've missed if you don't ferret into every dusty, rusty pile of unidentified or misidentified parts!

Happy Packard Parts Hunting!

Thanks for the insight, this is great.

Last year was my first, and admittedly we passed by the program during entry thinking it wasnt worth it. We spent 8 hours in one lot and the car corral.

Definitely getting the program this year and strategizing. Otherwise my automotive ADD will kick in every time I see something unique or shiny.

I would imagine except for rains this week extending into next, it shouldn't be affected that much as I would think everything should have passed by October. Also, everything is on blacktop now, unlike the past where mud hip waders may have been required.

OK - I am packing for Hershey to be a vendor for the first time. Most of what I have is 35-41 Pre-war Packard, junior And senior.
Additionally, I am bringing nearly all of my postwar stuff and a smattering of "everything else". To be honest, there is no way I could bring everything I have, especially the "heavy iron" so I am inviting any requests for stuff I would otherwise leave at home, such as -
Starters - 32-3 V12, Super 8, 32-38 Eight/Super 8, 37-39 V12 Delco 664, 39 Super 8, 40-50 356, 35-47 Six and 120.
Generators - CD865, C0-1240, CO-1300, 38-9 Super 8 Autolite, 37-39 V12 Autolite. 35-41 all. Also 40-50 356 50amp commercial.
Radiators - selling used radiators at scrap value, $100 each 35/6 120, 37 115c, 38 -39 110/120, 40-120, only if paid for will I bring to Hershey.
Steering columns with good boxes, 37-115, 37-120, 38-40 110.120.
1939 R6 overdrive, very good used, $500.
Large amount of transmission/overdrive parts.
36-39 110/120 bumpers, nice used, $100 ea.
Trunk Rack setups, 35-39 Big Senior, 39-40 Super 8, 36-40 junior. Have complete setups and parts.
Wheels, 35/6 120, 37-38 set of Artillery wheels and I may or may not bring a set of junior artilleries.
35-38 320 Super 8 HC cylinder head
39 Super 8 Cylinder head

Please Please let me know if I can help you, as I will also be leaving behind lots and lots of the small stuff...

What I AM bringing, have already packed -

36-37 steering wheels, including banjos, hornbuttons, etc.
41-47 ""K" wheels, 1 used and 1 restored, tan.
35-41 back up lights.
