I am looking for what I think is called running board treads. They look like the door edge guards you would see back in the 1970s, but they fit on the running board. Does anyone know a vender which sells them? What is the proper name so I can search efficiently on line? Thanks

runningboard matting material probably of the typical corrugated variety available by the foot from several vendors, steele, restoration specialties, etc. Maybe a photo to help narrow down...?

if you are talking about the stainless steel insert strips, a sketch or photo of the cross section would help

I could not get a picture to load, but they look like some I saw a MGTD running board, but they have a separate piece on the front and rear if the strip. So they are a 3/4inch wide strip of rubber with metal arrow ends on each end. I would imagine you would buy a length and install the arrow ends. Hope that makes some sense. Thanks

That looks like the add on side trim that was big back in the 70's and 80's. Aluminum channel, with spear or wedge shaped ends, ad a vinyl insert material.

I just purchased some from these guys:
