I am looking for dash plastic for a 1939 Super 8 sedan. If you know of anyone willing to sell, I would love to contact them.

I can be reached through the forum or my phone is 702-656-8600.

I believe the only place currently making dash plastic is Lavine Restorations https://classiccarreproductions.com but I don't see any listed for cars earlier than 40 models. Perhaps it would be worth contacting them to see if there are any plans to extend their current offerings or what it would take for them to consider making a set.

The other place that used to sell plastic I believe has stopped making anything. Their site currently lists the 39 sets as sold but maybe worth contacting to see if they have anything left over or if they might have sold the molds to someone else. http://packardplastic.com

G'day Steve 1705,
First post, so to PackardInfo.

I invite you to include your '39 Super Eight in the Packard Owner's Registry.

I have tried both of those websites. The hard part is, I use to be a mold maker for the movie industry so I could mold and cast my own dash, but I need a good original to work from. If there is someone out there willing to loan me the plastic so that I can mold and cast new ones that would be fantastic.

Steve, as you probably know the plastic ('Tenite') the '39 dashes are made from has not stood the test of time well.

I also am looking for the dash plastic for my '39 Senior.

I suspect there is a market for reproduction dash parts, but my understanding is that the beautiful dash parts that http://packardplastic.com were selling were pretty much prohibitively priced for a driver grade car. That may be the reason nobody seems to have stepped up to begin offering them again.

I have talked with a friend at a local composites fabricating business about 3-D printing the dash parts but while not a dead end, no positive results, either.

Please keep the board posted on your progress.
