For those interested in Packard Speedsters there is an interesting photo for sale on Junkbay. If legends are true as to there being only one phaeton sold with sidemounts then it is the Stuyvesant (later Jepson) car.

I would buy it myself except that it's origins are questionable.

Try This:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Car-Photo-1936-Packard-hood-ornament-auto-transportation-sepia/402244180650?hash=item5da79f1aaa:g:y~0AAOSwUCFduFvd

The reason I think it is a phaeton and not a runabout is the rear of the top continues to rise above the first bow whereas a runabout would have a sharp cutoff.

I was the only person who would visit poor Kavenagh when he was on his last legs. He had thousands of pictures that we would go through. I don't know what his kids did with the stuff. I have one picture from him of Charlie Clancy's Caddy 12 back during the days when his kids were road racing it behind his back.

There is another item. You will notice the bumper brackets are painted and the wheel hubs are dull nickel with painted snap rings. That's the way George's car was when he got it.
