Hi Everyone,

This was in a box full of Packard parts that I was going through. I do not recognize what application it may fit so I am posting pictures here to see if anyone recognizes it?

Gerry

It a mounting bracket for an assist grip. It screws to the seat or pillar. The grip slides over it and dovetails and then the other end of the grip is held down with a visible screw. Can not recall the years

Just wondering maybe same year as some of the other parts in the box, so if you know the range of years would be helpful.

Hi Wes,

The box of parts was inside of one of my 4 x 4 x 4 large containers full of all sorts of Packard Parts So there is no specific year or model related clues that I can provide on this one.

Ross gave the functional use of it, so hopefully someone may recognize the year and model application at some point.

I've found a few of these in my stash too and I've had only junior 1939-1940 passenger cars, then 1951-1954 but don't recall this on any of them. That doesn't mean that they did have them but only that I don't recall them!

However, my 1964 Ghia-Imperial Crown Limousine did use them for the courtesy straps!
