G'Day, Looked at registry and it is totally accurate.
The later post can be deleted.
Wondering why picture in registry overview is so "pixillated" or broken up when the original in the submission is so much clearer?
Avatar for another time.
Thanks for all your help.

Don,

Later Registry entry deleted and my earlier post edited.

Sorry, can't explain the "pixallated" photo in the Registry overview.

Hello Reedman

Re your avatar. Ordinarily, you can reduce the size of any picture you want to use as an avatar by opening and editing it in the "Preview" window on an Apple Mac (or equivalent in Windows). You can adjust the size of the picture downwards to suit (supposed to be less than 1MB, I think, or maybe less than 100KB to be on the safe side) then save the smaller pic under a different name to upload in your profile. Click there on Avatar.

I noticed that the lovely picture of your car in your post is already quite small. That is probably why it pixillates when loaded up to the site. Not a problem for avatars, which only display as thumbnails.

Cheers

Brian

I found an old dome light from my parts car.
Here are a couple of pics.
The base has three little bumps two which I have circled.
The glass housing simply has a ridge so that it can be popped on without regard to lining up any locations.

Hmmm....
Maybe readers of my forthcoming book would find this tidbit of information worthwhile????

"tidbit of information worthwhile????"

Bob,

Tidbits of information are always worthwhile. Someone, in the future, will benefit from the advice.

Bob, those two tidbit pictures are very useful.
Thank you for taking the time to set them up.
I will check on the light housing this weekend and let you know. Book eagerly awaited!

Success! Thanks to your pictures, I was able to take off that bezel easily.
After taking out the existing bulb, cleaning the contacts and replacing the lens assembly, the dome light worked like a charm, bathing the passengers in a pale, flattering light through the milk glass lens. Thank you all very much.
All problems should be that easily solvable.
On to the next!
