Here's my plan. Picture is a piece of stainless.

Going epoxy it. With bolts. On the other side using 1/4x 3 aluminum plate.

Bolt into stainless. The plate will go down to end.the plate will be epoxied to.

Going to put a C clamp on to close gap. Not to tight.

I have 1/4?3 stainless. But too heavy

This might be all that's needed. But going to add a plate on other side with epoxy.

Putting this here.

This is smooth on. Polyurethane. So will see how these hold compared to flexane.

I believe Flexane only comes in a durometer of Shore 60A or 80A while SmoothOn has a few more options. Which rating did you choose for the SmoothOn bushings? If you make any more of them a few drops of black colorant in the liquid mix will have the poly repros looking like an original rubber piece. So Strong is their colorant for regular use while UVO is UV stabilizing which helps if the casting will be exposed to direct sunlight.

Hey h.

# 80A. I'll send you one let you check it out. It's pretty stiff on the thick part.

The the round part you can squeeze . it's not as hard as original.

Used it all up. So I'll get another and get black color. Was seeing how this went. Pretty easy. 1oz of each part. But need to mix.

I didn't mix one long enough. Has not cured.

So. Pot life is 10 minutes. So I mix for 5 minutes. That seems to work.

Smooth on is way cheaper than flexane.

I have six useable. My last one is a little short. Think I made 7 or 8 55 bushings out of it.

I did waste a lot figuring out mix.

I'll put 3 bolts in thinking #8. For any flexing . but don't think it will that epoxy is tough.

Can't use anything on flat side. Unless it way below.

Had to remove the plate.
