Since 1963 I have been keeping a Directory of existant 1937 Super Eights and Twelves in an effort to determine production by model numbers.
<p>Over the years, many cars have changed hands. It is very difficult to keep the Directory up to date.</p>
<p>I would appreciate if current owners would contact me with the following information:
<b>
Serial number on data plate
<B>Selling dealer and date
<b>
Engine number
<b>
Embossed firewall number...<N N N N N N >
<b>
Original owner, if known.

REST ASSURED THIS INFORMATION WILL NEVER BE USED FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES. IT IS SHARED ONLY WITH 2 OTHER KEY PAC MEMBERS.

Guys, many new owners of Packards inquire about how to find the prior history of their cars, and often w/o prior documentation it's impossible as most MV agencies don't have the data anymore. And it adds so much to the joy of ownership to know a car's prior history. I'm lucky in that I bought both of mine from the original owners, but keeping a history of origin and ownership is a very commendable venture and something of real value to the future owners of our cars. Also it will help to estimate how many of each of the body styles were produced, which is data Packard didn't keep until well into the postwar era. There are quite a few 37 seniors in our directory, and I encourage owners of the 37 Seniors to contact Bob with their info.

Talking about 1937s......
<P>I hope all readers know about the Opus II to be held at the museum in Warren Ohio July 20-26. We are organizing a never-before-atttempted Showroom of every model 1937 offered by Packard...SIX, 120, Super Eight, and Twelve, PLUS several custom cars.
<P>In addition, there will be on display about 10 Warren Packards....1899-1904.
<P>This is one show that will never be repeated.
<P>Those who do not attend, will look back and say...
<P>"DANG! I should have made the effort!"</p>

So are there pictures of the showroom with every 37 Packard model in it? It would be neat to see.

Bob, wouldn't that just be a repeat of the theme from 2009? Though I suppose I could enjoy a repeat I'd be more inclined to make the trip if the theme were a year of manufacture not previously done.

O_D, Bob's post was from 2009 not a new one. I was just wondering if there were any pictures of the event.

Oh, thanks BDC - I missed that, I've got to discipline myself to start looking at dates.

Yes, I have some very few pictures from the event and most of them are of cars other than the '37 models which were all displayed inside a large tent. I'll add some to this post later today - got to go shopping before the snow starts to fall!
