Hello, I am restoring my 37 115C business coupe, Is all exterior trim ( like grill ) chrome ? is there any nickle? Also where can I get a front fender support bar for left side. (goes in front of running board to give rigidity to fender) OH yea, I am selling the drivetrain if anyone knows of an interested party, Thanks, Richard

I hope this is not too provocative, but if you are "restoring" it, why is the driveline for sale?

Yes its provocative, I am installing a 1966 caddy 429 hooked up to a tremic 5 spd, and a ford 9 inch posi rear. I love 37 packard business coupes and hot rods and apologize to no-one. Now about my original question? Richard

Are you referring to the strap that goes from the front fender to the frame? Its about 18 inches long. We have a couple extra if thats the part you are talking about. You can call me after 4 CST or text anytime. Don 256-572-9485. We have quite a bit of 37 115 and 120 stuff.

I have zero problem with what you choose to do with your car. Really. It's just not "restoration" - I have a thing about language. I'm not inferring it's an inferior thing, just a different thing. I hope it comes out as you want.

The exterior brightwork was chrome (or stainless of course).

Hi Don, thanks for the strap for the fender of my 37 bus coupe, my chrome guy wants 2600 dollars to rechrome my grill assembly, do you have any decent grills for sale (or trade for my grill that is good but chrome is shot)?? Thanks, Rich

I have a good friend here close that just had a grille rechromed at a shop in Nashville TN for 750.00. So if it can be replated 2600 seems out of line I do have an extra grille as the grille I have for my sport coupe is a CD grille and is different so the old one is extra. I will post later this eve. Don I also will post some pics of the 120 bus coupe I just got in from Wisconsin.

Here are a few pictures of our 1937 120 Business Coupe (1098) that has just got to our house from Wisconsin. After rethinking we are not in a position to do two cars at once. I am going to put all the missing parts we have and put on this car. Then put it into storage. Either do it at a later date or sell it.

Did some research on this id plate with holes thru it. Narrowed the dealer down to two from the list on this site. Evanston Wy and Evanston Il. Using deductive skills from gleaning the title (shown) Evanston Il to the titles location Kendall Il is only 72.5 miles. So I believe I am safe to say this 1098-4097 car came from Il originally. I will get a repo ID plate and transfer the information from this plate to it. And of course keep the original in the glove box.

Here are a couple of photos of the parts car I aquired in Oklahoma. I am going to take the needed from it to use to replace the parts of the business coupe that burned up in the fire. I did not have a full hood extra. The one I did have was missing the internal mechanisms. So I have bought another one to make it a complete hood assy.. I don't think I will use the Banjo in the second photo on this coupe. Might save it for a long term project down the road.
