Very rare 1939 Packard 1705 Super 8 for sale in Flagler Beach Florida 20 miles north of Daytona. Needs complete restoration. Massive 148" Wheelbase Solid, Straight Body model 1271 7 passenger limo with no divider. Stamped on firewall tag EARL C ANTHONY INC LOS ANGELES. Car was in California until 1990s then shipped to Tampa Florida. Car has not run in many years, engine is free. This would be an easy restoration, this is an all steel body! No wood in body or doors, 1938 was packards first year for the all steel body. This car has many desirable options available in 1939! It has DUAL SIDEMOUNTS, OVERDRIVE, RADIO AND DELUXE STEERING WHEEL! Dash plastics are unusable, interior has a few small storage holes. Small amount of bondo on top of fender and bottom of drivers side doors otherwise very solid. Missing super 8 medallions, small window crank and has wrong air cleaner. and I have 3 other cars to restore and need to sell 2 Price is $9500 or best offer. Is the car still for sale?? and you said in your add that it would be an easy restore, what is needed to get the car back on the road and do you have more photos of the car and engine??

1938 was packards first year for the all steel body

Not that it matters too much after 4 years, but just to keep the record straight that is an incorrect statement - it applies only to the junior cars. The 1938 Super Eight and Twelve were still conventional wood-frame construction, as was the Twelve for 1939.
