Shift rods

For years I have been looking for the two rods that go from the shift levers on the steering column to the levers on the standard transmission. The part numbers are 465373 for the first and reverse lever and 465385 for the 3rd and 2nd lever. If anyone has these rods, name your price. If any one has them and doesn't want to part with them perhaps they can provide me with a trace. I have been making out so far with treaded rods but the shifting is very sloppy as I just guessed at the angles of the bends in the rods. These rods do not show in a picture in the parts manual, but the levers they go into are shown on plate 34a in the parts manual.

Not much help in determining angles but this service manual photo is only one of rods I can find at the moment. Have you tried Mike Dulinski to see if he might have the rods?

EDIT: Let the ride decide beat me to the photo but I'll keep it up anyway for reference in case someone might have something that looks like them. The manual does have the adjustment procedure though.

Tried Mike a number of years ago. I'll try again. The service manual is where I got the clue as to how to the bend the rods that are presently in the car.

Yep, for a 55. Who is the guy in San Diego? I think the 56 would be the same.

If he does not have them, give me a couple of days to dig as I have factory prints somewhere I used to make a pair for a customer some years ago.

Gerry,
I am looking at those parts and the two rods are what I need. Are the rods for sale or maybe the whole kit and kaboodle? MY e-mail ra16684719@msn.com
