I got this car to repair and then fell into a decent running Constellation. I need more room for my '28 restoration.

Clear title, original motor spins with the key, rough interior, rear suspension is sitting on a 4x4, (I never got around to investigate), the carb came from a running car, most pieces either on the car or in the trunk.

$1,500...,

Carlisle, PA

$1,500..., hell, repop tail lights are $250

Interesting... but where is the factory air? Factory air for this car goes through the instrument panel with two special doors in the dash top. And master control on the panel face.

The trunk unit remains, the vents over the back seat exist..., that's the way that I got the car.

Ray,

When your '55 Clipper Custom Constellation Hardtop Coupe is sold, could you please advise so the Registry entry can be updated?

Factory A/C is in the dash for 1955 and 1956 but I am curious which aftermarket unit it had and whether or not it used the factory compressor. Any photos of the trunk unit and under hood components?

Sure.

It clearly says "Mark IV" but the picture isn't clear

I don't see anything under the hood that I recognize as AC

Thank you! Curbside Classic has an interesting article about the Mark IV which covers both the trunk type and the under-dash type, the latter of which has been reproduced by Vintage Air.
