Thanks for posting the photo. It could be a good project start if it turns out to be a solid car, or at least a good parts car. The small hubcaps and lack of grille 'whisker' makes me wonder if it is a six although listed as an eight.
Auction companies get a lot of details wrong when it comes to old cars.

Very good likelihood this Packard will sell for a scrap value price. Large auctions with many other make cars in better condition usually set up the situation for the independent make cars to go dirt cheap. Go get it if you can.

This looks like it could be at Ed Lucke's former yard, he died a few years ago and had a bunch of Packards, they were his favorite. His 1st yard in MD was bought by the county for a new road and he moved the entire inventory up over the MD-PA line, just S of Spring Grove PA. Last time I was there was in the mid 90s.
