VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
pfont color face sizeCar currently drivable. Had the Rochester carburetor re-built and the engine runs like a top. Brake master cylinder replaced and brakes fully operational. Surprisingly, the AM radio works and I can tune in local AM stations clear as a bell. All gauges now working. Headlight bulbs and wiper blades replaced with new items. Passenger's side headlight bucket needs to be replaced so I can properly aim the headlight. Courtesy lights still not working. Transmission linkage is still a bit funky but it appears to function better the more the car is driven./font

pfont color face sizeLocated the missing "Reynolds Wrap" trim from the sides and the front fender stainless. The trim certainly canuse a cleaning u
and re-painting of the black lines. The front fender script "The Four Hundred" is missing a number of mountingpins so replacements have been found.. Have installed the Reynolds Wra
on the front fenders and doors./font

pfont color face sizeCurrent plans are to use this car as a driver while the major restoration work continues on my Patrician. Just registered the Four Hundred in PA as an antique vehicle and received my tag. Now for some limited road testing around the neighbourhood to work out some kinks./font

pfont color face sizeJust put on new tires. A coolant leak has appeared in the heater system and found that the heater switch needs to be replaced. Bought a rebuilt heater switch on eBay but haven't installed it yet. Interior seats were redone but the headline and trim panels are shot and replacements have been obtained, although a different color. Definitely not a show car at this point!/font

pfont color face sizeAn attempt to replace the cracked door windows has proven more difficult than I had imagined. Currently, no door windows so the vehicle is not being driven in the winter (Surprise). Come spring, door windows will be installed (hopefully)./font
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS:
A prior owner replaced the 1955 tail lights with 1956 ones because they were in better shape. Plan on returning the tail lights to 1955 status when I get to it.
