VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | As a fourteen year old I saw this car in the showroom at Koepke Motors (Studebaker - Packard dealer) in Lakewood, Ohio in March 1958 and liked it then. It disappeared until 1971 when a friend and Packard lover, Rich Daly, bought it off a used car lot in Cleveland. It took me until April 21 to talk him into selling it to me. Car was in fair condition when purchased in 21. Since then, rust taken care of,floors patched, new carpet, have rebuilt transmission,new exhaust system, water pum replaced, radiator recored, new tires, clear plastic seat covers installed to preserve original upholstery, dual braking system installed, etc., etc. Lower (Parchment White) repainted engine detailed. Car is not in concours condition, but, with only 35,5 miles, it is a great tour car. | ||||
