VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
My great grandmother bought this car new in Minnesota in 195. My dad inherited it from her and it was his daily driver when he was newly married. He always said it was a 1949-1/2 model and thought it was a 5th anniversary model. It is the car that took my mom to the hospital when she was in labor with me. It had a fair amount of rust damage due to quite a few winters in Minnesota and Michigan. My dad did a very careful amateur restoration of the car in the 199s after he retired in Oregon. He did a full frame-off restoration where he took all the parts off himself and had them painted/rechromed. He rebuilt the engine and replaced the electrical system himself also. He then reassembled the car and had the seats reupholstered professionally. It still runs like a to
and looks great.
