VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
Purchased from Hegarty Packard, Coalport PA, in January 1976. The car hadn't been used since 196, and originally belonged to the founder of the dealership. His son, Richard, sold us the vehicle. It was stored in the rear of their Packard dealership. After working the entire day, to make it roadworthy again, I had the thrill of (mostly) skidding down the ramp, exiting the building. We then drove it home 4 miles (to Brooklyn, NY, our former home),through the night, during a severe snow storm. Richard Hegarty was so kind, that he said "If you get stuck anywhere on the way home, call me". It made it home like a Sherman tank. During the past 31 years, we've returned to Coalport, three times, to show Richard (and his Son), that we're stll lovin' the car.
