VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
pOwned by one family from original purchasein June 1926, replacing a 1916 Packard Touring. Our family bought in 1966 in Nova Scotia, used it in Scranton Pa untilApril 1992 when I brought it to Long Island before my wife and I got married.

pI don't getto run it often enough so the fuel system gets clogged or I lose vacuum. If that were fixed and I drove it regularly, it would likely run well. Under 5k miles. Has had new radiator, water jacketand rebuilt steering box, all other running gear should be in decent shape. It could use a set of side curtains (old ones in poor shape and don't match current colors).

pIt almost made it into the movie "The Babe" about Babe Ruth, but the movie studio was slightly off on color vs. another like Packard they'd already borrowed. It has been used for a few parades and weddings.

pAs far as I know it is the only 243 Touring on Long Island there is a 6 Cyl 2nd or 3rd series touring as well.

p

pAs of May 2, 21 it is running.
