VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
pI read an article about a '56scotish heather/dover white 4 one day and decided that when ready, that would be the car that I would like to own. A friend of mine called me one day and said there was a "pink" Packard for sale near his house. Lo and behold, a '56 scotish heather/dover white 4 with 69, miles and original owner. It came off the road in 1962 due to her husbands death and sat in her garage until she decided to have an estate sale. The local junk man came in to clean the place out and decided the packard was too nice to scrap, so he was going to "chop-the-top" and dro
in a "HEMI!!!!!" Luckly, hedidn't get past thinking about what he was going to do with the car, and decided hewasn't going to get involved, and put it out on his lawn for sale. I was only 23 at the time and was not planning on buying a Packard quite yet (I didn't even own a house to kee
the car at). But my friend said to me, "when you are ready to buy one, you won't be able to find one!!" Looking back now,i'm thrilled that I bought it when I did.
