Custom Modifications

Modification Detail:

I have modified the braking system as the BTV unit had failed. I replaced it with a modern dual-diaphragm booster and dual chambered master cylinder. It was necessary to alter the brake pedal to achieve the proper pedal  leverage ratio.

Replaced the ignition points and condenser with a Pertronix Ignitor unit.

Replaced the original 'Clipper, instrument cluster/clock with one from a 'Senior Packard (no oil and gen lights, now oil and ammeter gauges).

Re-built original AM Wonderbar radio so now it is a AM/FM/Aux (Satellite radio) 4-speaker (w/front tweeters) radio with a functioning Wonderbar. The unit looks bone stock and was done by Bob's radio restoration in So. California.

Restored, with some customization, the interior (seats, headliner, carpet, dash pad cover, back window tray) using original Packard fabric and leather in place of vinyl). re-painted metal parts (steering wheel, dash, door and window frames). Customized the trunk space to match the interior  (carpet, spare tire cover, under window tray speaker box).

Replaced the Delco generator with an alternator/bracket from Quality Power.
