Here is the 1948-1954 Packard Part List (also called the Parts Manual). This piece is an essential companion to the Service Manual. Not only does it provide information on what part number is what, more importantly it provides the exploded part views that are needed when rebuilding components.

This is the 1953-1954 Serviceman's Training manual for Air Conditioning. This was sent to the mechanics at the dealerships for they could learn how the A/C works and how to service it.

Here is the 1954 Salesmen Fact Book. If you have never looked through one of these they contain alot of information. They were used by the salesmen at the dealers explain features. It shows color pictures of every model, and explain on the different systems on the car.

The availability of optional equipment wasn't always clear from the showroom literature or even the parts catalog, but it was spelled out for the dealers for the purpose of ordering and pricing vehicles via factory-issued Trade Letters, which are rather hard to come by these days.

This is a scan of the the front and back of a 1954 California DMV Registration card. This was for a 1954 Clipper Super Touring Sedan. It was from Santa Barbara and was bought in November 1954.

This was tucked in the front of my 1954 Clipper Owners manual that I bought. Obviously this was not for my car. But perhaps someone out there knows what happened to this car, or its original owner. :D

This is a copy of my 1954 Clipper Owners Manual. I bought this used. It has several places where the previous owner wrote notes in regards to the right Oil Filter and Point Gap Size. But this is an interesting read. It explains the operation of all the systems on the car.

This is a "How-To" on how to replace the valve seal on the Ranco heater valves that were used on most of the Post-War Packards. The seal replacement is typically all that is done in most valve rebuilds. I took all the pictures and while rebuilding my valve and hope you find it usefull.

These Packard and Studebaker-Packard Annual Corporate Reports were prepared each year for the annual stockholders meeting and distributed to the shareholders. They contains interesting information on both what occurred the previous year and also the some outlooks for the coming year. Some contain wonderful pictures of new models, new plant renderings, etc.

This I belive is a Packard Section from a Motors Parts and Labor reference manual. It contains basic information about all the models from 1940-54. It has a lot of tune up information, engine and body serial numbers. If has several exploded parts breakdown sheets that include the Transmission, Overdrive, Ultramatics, Trendle Bendix unit, Powersterring, Front Suspension, and steering. As well as a pretty comprehensive mechanical parts list.

These are letter issued by the Philadelphia Zone Office, to dealers located in their zone, on various Service related subjects.

These are the Service Promotional Bulletins that were sent to dealers to give them information service promotions.

This is the service training manual given to the Packard mechanics to instruct them of the servicing of the Gear Start Ultramatic Transmission (late 1954). If you have a Gear Start this contains valuable service information.

This training book was sent out to all the dealers for mechanics to understand the new 1951 (24th Series) cars that were coming. This has a wealth of information about the new cars, their construction, and features. Information is relevant to all 1951-1954 Packards.
