Telephone number 3500 Les Judd and Dana Smith, co-owners Burton Hall, salesman The Smith & Judd partnership was a very large store for a small town like Grandview, WA. In addition to the Packard dealership, they sold farm equipment, International trucks, RCA Victor phonographs, Frigidaire appliances, etc. The building is no longer there. They participated in the Packard Golden Anniversary drive-away in May 1949. The car, a Standard Touring Sedan, is still in existence in nearby Tri-Cities, WA. Ref. Ye Olde Car Club The car was raffled off as part of the annual Harvest Festival, won by Bob Julian, formerly of Kennewick, WA (now residing in Bozeman, Montana). He was a juvenile at the time so his parents Charles (Chuck) and Virgina picked up the car. A photo was taken outside the dealership (attached).
The gold car had wide whitewall tires at the time it was picked up. The standard hood ornament was later upgraded to the cormorant. It also has Naugahyde door panels, as would be found on the convertibles.
