| My 1951 Packard Mayfair was purchased from Rich's Packard Sales & Service of Spencer, Iowa. After contacting the Parker Historical Museum of Spencer, Iowa, I received a letter from a very helpful Dr. Harry Rasdal that provided the following information: "Rich had an automobile agency where he bought and sold used cars. He had a franchise to sell new Packards and had a respectible clientel. His business was in the first block just North of the River on the East side of Grand Avenue. Most other car agencies were further North. He didn't know it at the time but Packard would be going out of business in a couple of years and he would be dealing only in used cars." | |||
