The Vehicle Number (VN) is found on a plate attached to the left front door post. Engine serial numbers were located on a boss at the upper left-hand side of the cylinder block. Vehicle Number began with the Body/Style Number suffixed by a sequential production number for that body style staring at 2001. Body/Style Numbers started with the first two symbols 24 to indicate 24th Series. The second pair of symbols indicated body style. Engine serial numbers: PACKARD 200/200 Deluxe J-200001 to J-275000. PACKARD 250 J-400001 to J-425000. PACKARD 300 J-400001 to J-425000. PATRICIAN 400 J-600001 to J-610000.
