General Information:

The Deluxe/Supers had the larger 327 cid/165 hp engine. The Deluxe was trimmed with a continuous sweep spear molding running high on the bodysides from behind the headlights to the bottom of the new corner mounted taillights. Clipper Deluxe lettering appeared on the trunk lid. The Sportster coupe continued, now as a Deluxe, It was actually a pillared Club Coupe, but had wide exterior window frame moldings that gave it a hardtop appearance. It also had a sporty interior and chrome headliner bows. Except for the bigger engine, Deluxe equipment features were similar to those of Special Clippers. An all-new line was the Super Clipper series, which was identified with model name lettering on the trunk and added a glovebox light to the features list. It included a sporty business coupe with two separate sweep spears, such as Clipper Specials had.
