The general styling changes for an expanded line of Clippers included revised sweep spear patterns; redesigned rear fenders; new taillights set into the rear fender tips; and the addition of wraparound chrome plates between the horizontal grille bar extensions and outer edges of the front bumper. The Clipper Special continued with two separate sweep spears. Seen on the rear door or fender was a Clipper nameplate under the spear. In addition, a Clipper Special nameplate was located on the trunk lid. Standard equipment included twin horns; twin sun visors; two variable-speed vacuum windshield wipers; horn blow ring; front and back bumper guards; bumper jack and tools.
