Series and Model Information | ||
| The Twenty-Second Series Packards were merchandised as 1948 and 1949 models, since Packard did not adhere to a model year changeover system. Effective Nov. 1, 1948, for purposes of registration, 1948 Series 2200 Packards became 1949 Series 2200-9 models. General appearance changes from the 21st Series included a longer hood; a shorter, wider grille, and "flow through" fenders. The only outer body panel that the 22nd Series cars share with the previous year cars is the roof stamping. | ||
