Very old and grainy photo, perhaps taken by Austin Clark Jr in the 60s. Interesting to compare this car to the 1940 Darrin sedans. .

Posting this picture for Jim Pearsall. Photographer not know but picture labeled as Retro Barcelona (Spain) December 1908. The car is a 1934 Eight, model 1100; looks quite nice except for incorrect sidemount cover and missing crank hole cover.

Not the greatest picture quality, a print from a very old slide taken by this writer at Hershey about 1964 - 1968 perhaps. I believe this is either a 4th or 5th series 48 Imperial Limousine, body type #69. As I remember this car was being used as an ambulance for a private church-supported hospital in southern New Jersey at the time it was "discovered" and bought for restoration.

This picture and the following information on this photo provided by notable Packard historian Jim Pearsall: "Subsequent to Mrs. s ownership the car later was owned by a funeral parlor in Warren, and I suspect that. s the original source of the photo.

Franay of France did a number of bodies on Packard chassis in the late 30s, several of them are pictured in Hugo Pfau's nice book. This lovely one-off had an interesting history, ordered originally by a French aristocrat and taken over by the Nazis after the fall of France, and used by the Military Governor of Paris as a staff car. When the Germans fled, the car was picked up, repainted in US olive drab, and used by the US armed forces.
