Re: no title
Our '47 Custom Clipper. It was a retirement project that we kept running for 15 years until I retired. Then my sons and I got after it for about 3 years to get it in the shape it is in now. We don't know how the picture got up-ended and not sure how to fix. The car was originally sold in Dallas but somehow made it to Mississippi. In 1984, the previous owner saw it advertised in HMN. He bought it based on pictures with the understanding the seller would drive it to Houston so he would know it was dependable. Along the way he had to put new points in and during an overnight stay in Louisiana, someone pulled the door lock out trying to steal it but got scared away. We bought it in 1985.Did not replace the core until we started restoration in 2003.
