View of Mr. Morelli and George Backus posing with 1907 Mitchell car in front of the Parker Morelli Motor Co. dealership in Helena, Montana. Packard automobile on right. Stamped on back: "Photo taken Apr 25, 1938. Jorud Photo Shop, Helena, Montana." Handwritten on back: "17 new 1907 Mitchell cars were found in room to left of our showroom at Helena, April 10, 1938. These cars were all new, never run, just forgotten when Mitchell dealer died and widow took trip to Europe. Seated is Mr Morelli, brother of Frank Morelli (dealer). Standing, Geo. Backus, District Mgr. for O'Rourke Motor Car Co. Mitchell, 1907. Cost abt. $2500 apiece. Began selling for $25 apiece, [undecipherable] prices to $150 (used for adv. pur. [undecipherable] unusual Mitchell cars lead the [undecipherable] in all now running on sts. of Helena."
