I’m thinking about purchasing a 1931 833. Is there anything in particular that I should be looking at/for when I inspect the car? I have a 1938 Eight, which is restored now, but I wish I would have done a little more research before I purchased it.

 1931 833 In Wisconsin
It was great seeing my 833 a couple weeks ago. I purchased it site un-seen. My brother picked it up in Chicago for me. The gas in the tank, carb, and fuel pump was years old. It didn’t run when I received it. I had Scott Henningsen rebuild the carb. It was a work of art!!! I highly recommend him. Was done promptly as promised. I rebuilt the fuel pump and it still didn’t pump. Pretty worn out. I recently ordered a new pump from Then and Now Automotive. I hope to install it when back in Wisconsin for Thanksgiving. I currently live in Virginia. I installed an electric in-line fuel pump as a temporary measure so I could at least drive it. I also ordered a kit to install a modern oil filter. No other big things to look for. I’m all new to the Packard. I also have a 1926 Model T. No comparison!! My Packard is stored in Trempealeau, WI. Just North of LaCrosse.
