Inscribed on photo back; Packard one ten, eighteenth series, model 1800, 6-cylinder, 100-horsepower, 122-inch wheelbase, 8-person station wagon (body type #1383), built by Hercules Body Co. Evansville, Ind., early 18th series production retouched to suggest some mid-season changes, note traditional style '120' hub caps, rounded bumper ends, 9-vent louver panel' medallion unaltered (remains early production style), 1939 Michigan license plate #V-26-17.

Photo caption on back from Packard News Service: New Packard Caribbean bows at Chicago Automobile Show, star of the Packard exhibit at the Chicago Automobile Show is this sleek, luxury sports convertible which offers the auto industry's top V-8 engine performance--the new Packard Caribbean, in addition to its 275-horsepower V-8 engine, the Caribbean features Packard's new torsion bar suspension system and more than a score of other luxury features and special accessory installations as standard equipment, the powerful, high torque 275-horsepower V-8 engine, in combination with the new twin-ultramatic transmission, endows in the Caribbean's flashing performance, smooth operation, driving ease and comfort, ready to go into limited production, the Packard Caribbean will be on display at Packard dealerships in selected market areas in the near future, other new Packard models and 1955 clipper cars will go on display during the week of January 17th.

8x10 black and white photograph of Packard Number One with woman, parked in front of the manager's quarters (a.k.a. the Lodge), designed by Albert Kahn, at the Packard Proving Grounds. Inscribed on photo back; car completed Nov. 6, 1899, Warren Ohio; Model A, 1-cylinder, 9-horsepower, 71.5-inch wheelbase, 2-person roadster; body by Morgan & Williams, carriage manufacturer, Warren, Ohio. Restored car has solid engine compartment door, vs. louvered door of original, and is missing original fittings such as side lights & the one affixed to the center of the front springs, and the dos-a-dos seat originally mounted on the rear deck. This is the car given to Lehigh University.
