Photo caption on back from Packard News Service: 'Hung' on a 38-degree hill, without application of foot or hand breaks, is this new Golden Anniversary Packard custom equipped with ultramatic drive, the industry's newest 'no shift' drive, power transmitted to the rear wheels through the torque converter holds the car motionless, then by merely pushing the accelerator, the car climbs easily over the tip, this unique measure assures the driver responsive control in traveling over hilly terrain, negotiating railroad up grade crossing and similar traffic conditions.

8x10 black and white Packard Co. file photograph of a 1929 Packard three-quarter right side view, male chauffeur, couple in back seat, two couples standing at either end of car, parked in front of a fountain. Inscribed on photo back; Packard 640, custom eight, sixth series, 8-cylinder, 106-horsepower, 140.5-inch wheelbase, 5-person phaeton (body type #341), fitted with deluxe & special equipment, including six chrome plated wheel discs, side mounted spare tires & fitted covers, Packard deluxe emblem, folding tonneau windshield, right had drive, step plates, folding trunk rack, Warner-Patterson wedding party.
