Photo caption on back from Packard News Service: People like to talk about their cars, and these two couples are no exception, especially when their cars span a period of fifty years, automotive styling and engineering progress over the last half century is vividly shown in the comparison of Packard's Model A, built in 1899, and the new Packard Golden Anniversary super, the 150-horsepower straight eight engine in the Golden Anniversary Packard super models compares with Model A's 1-cylinder, 12-horsepower mechanism, Model A which still runs under its own power, is preserved in the engineering laboratory at Lehigh University, the alma mater of James Ward Packard, who built the car.
