This scan was made by me from a print I had made from the original negative borrowed from the Branchburg, NJ Historial Society. The car belonged to members of the Bowman family, some of whom lived in a very elegant residence in Branchburg, NJ. The photo was published some years ago in one of those Arcadia photo books. The letter designation U on the license plate was for Union County, NJ. - Jim Pearsall
This 533 came into Australia as a Hire car, it was used as a school bus in the 1930's in Adelaide, South Australia. i purchased the car in 1974 and have repainted the esterior. The interior is mostly original, although some renovation was carried out in 1955. i have fitted a 4.38 axle ratio and the sedan cruises well at 55 mph with a trailer of old bikes attached.
