8x10 black and white Packard Co. file photograph of a 1929 Packard Adonis hood ornament, front view. Inscribed on photo back; radiator ornaments, Packard radiator cap mascot 'Adonis, official name of this mascot is also known as 'Dauphin,' 'Daphne at the Well,' etc., designed by Edward McCarten - New York City, patent applied for 11/7/1928, design patent #79,561 10/6/1929, introduced on sixth series Packards, discontinued with introduction of tenth series, December 1932.

Anyone care to comment on the color? Rubicile Deep is the color listed by Packard to be what we had in mind. Not easy to figure out exaclty what that LOOKS like!
