8x10 black and white sepia-toned Packard Co. file photograph of 1946 Packards in factory, two female workers pictured. Inscribed on photo back; production of ZIS-110 limousines in early post WWII Russia, powered by 8-cylinder, 140-horsepower engine, based upon 1941/42 Packard senior series dies sold to U.S.S.R. through U.S. government urging, designers reportedly began work on ZIS-110 in July 1944, & first cars began coming off assembly line early in 1946, early photographs in U.S. of ZIS-110 appeared in Automotive Industries, 1 July 1946, page 43.

Short title: (Eastern) Berlin, Schnellstra?e Adlergestell-Sch?nefeld Opened to the Public

28th April, 1962, new Schnellstra?e (highway) Adlergestell-Sch?nefeld officially opened. Capital of GDR has since 28th April, 1962, a new Schnellstra?e of 4.13 km (2.57 mls) with highway character. It connects Gr?nau Adlergestell with the traffic hub Sch?nefeld in the South near central airport Berlin-Sch?nefeld, and meets Fernverkehrsstra?e 119 (freeway 119). New concrete road is 15m (16.4 yd) wide and has a white center line that separates lanes. Mayor Friedrich Ebert opened the highway to the public at 10:50 in attendance of the GDR Minister of Transport, Erwin Kramer, the GDR Minister of Construction, Ernst Scholz, and other guests.

Zentralbild-Quis-Wl-At. 28. 4. 1962 Neue Schnellstra?e Adlergestell-Sch?nefeld eingeweiht. Die Hauptstadt der DDR verf?gt seit 28. 4. 1962 ?ber eine neue 4. 13 Kilometer lange Schnellstra?e mit Autobahncharakter. Sie verbindet das Gr?nauer Adlergestell mit dem s?dlichen Verkehrsknotenpunkt Sch?nefeld, wo sich auch der Zentralflughafen befindet, und m?ndet in die Fernverkehrsstra?e 119 ein. Die neue Betonschallbahn ist 15 Meter breit und mit einem weissen Mittelstreifen versehen, der beide Fahrbahnseiten trennt. Oberb?rgermeister Friedrich Ebert-Mitglied des Politb?ros des ZK der SED-gab um 10. 50 Uhr in Anwesenheit des Ministern f?r Verkehrswesen, Erwin Kramer, des Ministers f?r Bauwesen, Ernst Scholz, und anderen Pers?nlichkeiten die neue Schnellstra?e f?r den Verkehr frei.
