| Restoration was completed in 2002 and since that time has been judged by CCCA to Premier status. Also won best in class at 2007 PAC National Meet in South Bend, IN. Color is Packard Laguna Maroon Opalescent |

| I found this 41 Clipper in Kentucky in 2007. It was an older restoration from the early 1980s that became the hobby of a retired Packard lover, named Jack Williams, in Oklahoma who I never knew. I am doing a rehab on the engine which has been silent for 20 years. Other work will involve brake rebuild, front suspension, and drive train rehab I plan to use it as a daily driver vehicle adding turn signals,lap belts, and radio rebuild. The upholstery is corded cloth on seats and smooth camel on door panels and headliner. I found a rusty screwdriver (presumably Jack's) under the back seat. | Some folks find it interesting that a full, one-off custom would be built on the 160 chassis yet the explanation is quite direct. Formal broughams on short wheelbases were quite in vogue in that era, and as Packard didn't offer a naked chassis to custom coach builders and given that most of the body and interior would be removed and scrapped, why pay for a 180. |

| The 1941 custom cars included two Darrins (victoria and sport sedan), two Rollsons (all-weather cabriolet and all-weather town car), and 3 LeBarons (touring sedan, touring limousine, and the pictured sport brougham. Of these, 99 were built and about 35 are known to remain. |

| I'm working on a very original '41 Clipper. I'm the fourth owner and it was purchased in Auburn, IN in August of '07. She has 60k on the odometer and runs like a top. After some paint and replating, she should be on the road this summer (2008). |
