Re: Hand choke on a 37, 120?

Thanks for the information on Kroil. I have tried PB Blaster since I have that and it does seem to be loosing things up a bit.

My first message may have been a little ambiguous so let me get to the point. The auto choke is not working. The problem seems to be the temperature spring in the exhaust manifold. So I plan to abandon and dismantle that linkage.

The throttle cable had been broken by a previous owner and is now too short to attach to the connection on the throttle linkage but is just the right length to reach to the choke rod on the carb.

So, I plan to make a new adaptor to hook the throttle hand control to the carb and turn it into a choke control.

I have a lot more need for a manual choke then I do for a manual throttle!

I am in the process of making the adaptors, etc as I write this message. The cable is sticky so your comments on freeing it up are helpful.
