packard 110 master cylinder

Hi Guys,

I'm now replacing my master cylinder. With the remanufactured item, the brass fitting for the lines may no longer have the right orientation. It seems frozen. To rotate it it, is the brass threaded and we need to use washers? Or its not threaded and I need to bang on it a little.

Just don't want to use force if not appropriate.
