nice car, i have a 42 110 convert. in california and i believe the rest of the states the early cars were registered with the engine number, it is on the left side at the top of the block above the distributer it should be in a small white square painted over the packard green and start with a "E" if it is the correct engine. i also have a close friend who has a 42 160 formal sedan, so if i don't have the info on a 42 clarence does. have fun, dell
