for the end under the radiator, 341162 - there should be NO up and down movement. at the drag link end, remove the drag link to inspect the cups and springs and condition of the ball stud. This is a fairly tight rotating connection, there will be movement, but not looseness. Add some fresh tie rod ends while you're at it, they're cheap and probably worn out.
