I agree with O_D, get the end of the filler tube restored to proper size, or as close as you can get it.

I have also used a Permatex gasket sealant on the end that goes into the engine to help seal the tube to the engine block. I forget which Permatex, but one that dries hard would be my choice.

Make sure you get it installed in the correct orientation so the breather opening is facing the fan. There may also be a flap on the bottom of the tube to keep oil from being thrown up into the tube from engine rotation. If you get the breather facing the right direction, this should also take care of the flap being correct.
